Nuclear Binding Energy Data

The atomic mass data below were pulled from https://physics.nist.gov/cgi-bin/Compositions/stand_alone.pl. Calculations were performed in an Excel spreadsheet. The following mass data for subatomic particles was used:

\(\descriptive{m}{m,mass}_\text{electron} = 0.000548579909065 \amu\)
\(\descriptive{m}{m,mass}_\text{proton} = 1.007276466879 \amu\)
\(\descriptive{m}{m,mass}_\text{neutron} = 1.0086649156 \amu\)

(amu stands for atomic mass unit)

Conversion: \(1\amu \times \descriptive{c}{c, speed of light}^2 = 931.49410242\unit{\mega\electronvolt}\)
Definitions: \(\text{δm} = \text{mass defect}\), \(\text{BE} = \text{binding energy}\)

Nuclear Binding Energy Data Table

To quickly find the data on the table, use your screen reader's search. You can search either by Atomic number, element symbol, or element name, and include the integer version of the mass number at the end to find the specific isotope. Just type in the word Element plus a space, then the symbol name or atomic number of the element and optionally another space and the integer atomic number. For example, to find the Helium +2 isotope (which has an atomic mass roughly 4), you can search Element H 4, or Element Helium 4, or Element 2 4 (each with spaces between).

The nuclear binding energies for various isotopes of elements. This table contains multiple rows per element, with the different atomic mass (simplified), mass in atomic mass units, the mass defect in atomic mass units, change in mass per nucleon in atomic mass units per nucleon, and binding energy per nucleon in mega electron volts per nucleon. This table is searchable using your screen reader's search, and you can search for Element space name or atomic symbol or atomic number space mass integer. For example, if you want the Helium with atomic mass 4, you can search Element H 4 (with spaces between).
